Barbra Streisand's Sold-Out Paris Debut Smashes the Bercy's Box Office Record

(June 26, Paris, France) - Barbra Streisand tonight continued her record breaking European tour success by shattering the Bercy's box office record for the highest grossing concert. This is the third stop on Streisand's first ever European tour, and her third consecutive box-office record breaking show.

Over 13,000 fans along with many of France's most distinguished dignitaries and popular personalities filled the arena to capacity. The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Benard Kouchner, Charles Aznavour, Jean Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, Line Renaud and Cécilia Sarkozy, wife of President Nicolas Sarkozy, were among those who witnessed Streisand's highly anticipated first ever concert in France.

Streisand was greeted by thunderous applause and a standing ovation upon taking the stage. A 58 piece orchestra accompanied Streisand as she performed many of the classic songs from her unique repertoire such as "Evergreen", "People", "The Way We Were", "Don't Rain on My Parade" and many more.

As a special choice for the Paris audience, Streisand performed "The Summer Knows," which she had never before sung live. The song was written by Michel Legrand, who was in the audience, and her long time friends Alan and Marilyn Bergman.
