Tickets Like 'Gold dust'

Due to the lightening fast sale of tickets to Barbra's 2 Dome concerts this July (18th & 22nd) they are now being sold via bidding wars on auction websites. With pairs going for as much as £1,600 ($3,000) some media pundits have quipped that tickets to her shows are 'like gold dust'.

However, fans are to be alert that buying tickets from such vendors, other than licenced ticket distributors could lead to heartache. Not only is the mark up high, many being touted as 'good position' seating, are nowhere near the front.

The shows at The O2 Arena will be her first in the UK since 1994. The European tour, which her many fans have been eagerly anticipating for years, also visits Austria, France, Ireland and follows her record-breaking US tour last autumn. More tour dates in additional countries will be announced shortly.

Martin Erlichman, Streisand’s longtime manager announced the tour, and confirmed that the recent US tour, her first in six years, had broken box office records in a staggering 14 of the 16 venues she played. She already held, and still holds, the record in the remaining 2 venues. Designated proceeds from the tour will support her various philanthropic initiatives and will be distributed through The Streisand Foundation.
